Fingerprints

After finishing grad school, where my work mainly focused on scientific and impersonal subject matter, I was challenged by a friend to make artwork about myself. I decided to compose an autobiography which mixed together themes, objects, colors, impressions, and memories from my life with something more graphic and objective: my ten fingerprints.  These tableaus each contains a very accurate rendering of one of my specific fingerprints, but it is in their staging and compositions where the more telling portrait of me can be found.
